Friday Night Shooting
The incident follows a separate fatal shooting on Friday night in the 2300 block of Sunset Avenue. Police reported that a 17-year-old girl was shot around 9:30 p.m. and taken to a local hospital in a private vehicle, where she later died from her injuries. Authorities are investigating the case as a homicide but have not yet released the victim’s identity.
Police emphasized that Friday’s shooting appeared to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
